SAM’S STORY
The first thought that comes to mind when putting pen to paper for this opening blog is, ‘where have 6 months gone?’. To coin an old saying, starting the 100 & First Foundation has been a marathon, not a sprint.
GENERATING SELF BELIEF
On Wednesday the 13th of July Sam, Will, Jay, and Tom walked 52 kilometres. That is 33 miles, roughly 69500 steps, and took them about 14 hours.

I won’t lie…. I was nervous.
For those who have never been inside a prison before, it’s surprisingly friendly. Despite the ominous entrances and continual locking and unlocking of gates as you make your way through exercise yards and onto wings, you feel safe.

To be writing this after year one of the 100 & First Foundation seems somewhat surreal, to see what was a conversation in a car park turn into a fully-fledged charity, delivering staggering impacts for its beneficiaries is both humbling and astonishing.
